This was a large project I was commissioned to do through Shadowplay, and involved utilizing my entire skill set to complete. Firstly there was a vast amount to retouching work on Ricoh’s new flagship printer, which was shot in Avonmouth in Bristol eventually after the shipment of the parts were delayed by the tsunami in Japan. Then I had 40+ shots to retouch for the brochure, which was quite extensive as the machine was so new I had to add in logos and operating screens as they hadn’t been designed at the time of the shoot.

I got to illustrate the paper path, as well as animate it which was a challenge as it was a frame by frame flash animation, and although I didn’t model the 3D desktop printers I did however apply materials, light and render 8 views of each of the 8 desktop machines from the Shinka and Perseus ranges, and then retouch them.
In the end I supplied 54 product shots, 44 lifestyle shots, 64 renders, 10 brochure illustrations, and 1 flash animation!
